Bridge and gantry crane training for operators, trainers and maintenance crews, offered throughout the United States at your facility or at one of our locations. Every course puts classroom instruction together with hands-on operation on the cranes your crew actually runs, finishes with a written exam and a practical operator evaluation, and gives each operator who passes a dated certification card and a training record for your safety file.
Other services like mobile crane training, instructor crane training, and online crane training can be provided here at All Purpose Crane Training. Along, with the latest accredited OSHA crane certification information and documentation for the record.

The requirements of General Industry Safety Orders, Article 92, apply to the following equipment when used in construction and permanently installed bridge cranes, overhead cranes, and gantry cranes: overhead and gantry cranes, including semi-gantry, cantilever gantry, wall cranes, storage bridge cranes, and others having the same fundamental characteristics.
The following equipment when used in construction and not permanently installed in a facility: Overhead and gantry cranes, overhead/bridge cranes, Semi-gantry, cantilever gantry, wall cranes, storage bridge cranes, launching gantry cranes, and similar equipment having the same fundamental characteristics, irrespective of whether it travels on tracks, wheels, or other means.
1910.179 (n)(3)(ix) – When two or more cranes are used to lift a load at least one qualified responsible person should be in charge of the operation. He or she shall analyze the operation and instruct all personnel involved in the proper positioning, rigging of the load, and the movements to be made.
OSHA does not issue a licence for in-plant bridge and gantry cranes. It requires the employer to train each operator, evaluate them on the equipment, designate them as qualified and keep the records. Our course and practical evaluation give you that proof.
Plan on a refresher and re-evaluation every three years, and sooner if an operator moves to a different crane, is involved in an incident or near miss, or is seen operating unsafely.
